• Details
  Leather Belt, Historical Reproduction buckle ! 60" long men's or women's Medieval/ Renaissance. This belt is perfect for wearing with Garb, either in the SCA, at LARP events, Renaissance Faires, pirate costumes, festivals, or with Steampunk outfits.
  Contrary to a lot of popular belief, the belts worn in the early Middle Ages were narrow like this.
  
  The belt is 3/4" wide, 60" long from buckle to end.

  These buckles are reproductions of actual Medieval buckles, handmade and hand cast in brass by my friend Sean of ThorThor's Hammer. Style 1 (Lobed buckle) is from the late 13th C-14th C. The Figure 8 buckle (style2) is 15th Century, and Style 3 (pointed) is 14th-15th C. The buckle is a C shape, with no back bar, so you can leave the belt hanging from the buckle, or loop it up and around the back of the buckle. (See pictures).
  
  The leather is soft and flexible, yet strong. (4-6 oz leather, 1.6-2.4mm thick) It is a powdery soft finish that will scratch and mark with wear for a "distressed" look. Chestnut is not flexible with a smooth surface, Coffee is Super soft and flexible- can be a little stretchy, with a pebbled surface.
  
  SIZE: is where I punch the holes on the 60" belt. measure Inches around waist/hips, (NOT pants size. Men's Pants size is usually a little smaller than actual measurement-you can add 2" to your pants size to get close. )For custom hole spacing, choose Custom Inches, and tell me your waist/ hips measurements (in the comment section of the order)* Or if you don't want any holes punched, us the option that says "no holes inches".
